How Is Ford Revising the Bronco Sport for 2027?

AutoBlog reports that the Bronco Sport trims get a modest price cut for '27. Part of that adjustment coincides with changes to the Bronco Sport's standard gear.

One change applies to the entire lineup: Ford removed stop-start technology. Several trims also lose some standard convenience features. Big Bend models no longer include a fold-down rear center armrest with cupholders or heated side mirrors, and the Heritage also loses its heated side mirrors.

On the Outer Banks, Ford swaps the 6-way power passenger seat for a 6-way manual seat and removes the auto-dimming rearview mirror from the features list. Badlands models trade the 8-way power driver's seat for a 6-way manual seat and lose dual-zone climate control and the auto-dimming rearview mirror. Not all of these features disappear entirely, however. You can still add some through packages, and you can find them on higher trims.

What Engines Feature in the 2027 Bronco Sport?

The Bronco Sport features a standard 1.5-liter three-cylinder that generates 180 horsepower and 200 lb-ft. It pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Drivers looking for more power can move up to the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder available in higher-end versions. Here, output rises to 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft. It also mates with an eight-speed automatic while adding steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters for manual gear selection.

How Far Can the Bronco Sport Travel on a Tank?

According to Car and Driver, the Bronco Sport’s 1.5-liter engine gets 25 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. Its estimated driving range is 432 miles. Those figures change when you add the Sasquatch package—its all-terrain tires contribute lower ratings of 23 mpg city and 26 mpg highway, along with an estimated range of about 384 miles. With the 2.0-liter turbo, ratings fall further still to 21 mpg city and 27 mpg highway. Estimated range is 368 miles.

How Does Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist With Safety?

Every Bronco Sport includes Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ with automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, intersection assist, and rear cross-traffic braking.

Badlands models use the more advanced Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 system. Additions include a 360-degree camera with Ford Trail View for extra visibility. Higher trims also add available front parking sensors.

What Tech Will You Find in the Bronco Sport's Cabin?

Ford gives the Bronco Sport a 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Most versions feature an 8-inch digital instrument cluster while the top trim gets a 12.3-inch display.

Up front, passengers get one USB-A and one USB-C charging port, and a 400-watt second-row outlet is optional. A six-speaker audio system is standard across the lineup, but there is an available 10-speaker B&O system for higher trims. A power moonroof is another available feature, and upper-level models offer an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

If you're heading off-road, the Badlands adds a Terrain Management System with Ford G.O.A.T. Modes.
